OLD TESTAMENT PRAYER: Talking To God
1. Pray On Behalf Of Other People
Genesis Chapter 25: 21 "Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren. The LORD answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant."
2.Go Into Nature And Raise Up Your Hands In Prayer
Exodus 9:29 "Moses replied, "When I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands in prayer to the LORD."
3. Pray With/Before Other Christians
Share your conversation with God with the rest of the body so that they can join their hearts to your prayer.
1 Kings 8:22 "Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the whole assembly of Israel, spread out his hands toward heaven 23 and said:O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below"
4. Get Down On Your Knees To Show God You Are Humble Before His Mighty Power
1 Kings 8:54 "When Solomon had finished all these prayers and supplications to the LORD, he rose from before the altar of the LORD, where he had been kneeling with his hands spread out toward heaven."
5. Write Your Prayers To God In A Journal And Record How He Responds
2 Kings 19:14 "Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it. Then he went up to the temple of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD."
6. Let Out Tears From Your Heart
2 Kings 20:5" I have heard your prayer and seen your tears"
7. Trust God When You Pray

8. Fast Along With Your Prayer

10. Revere The Name(s) of God When You Pray

11. Keep Your Hands Free Of Violence
Job 16:17 "my hands have been free of violence and my prayer is pure."
12. Keep Your Mouth From Lies
Psalm 17:1 "Give ear to my prayer— it does NOT rise from deceitful lips."
13. Pray Against Evil
Psalm 141:5 "Yet my prayer is ever against the deeds of evildoers"
14. Obey The Law
Proverbs 28:9 "If anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayers are detestable."
15. Pray With All That Is In Your Soul
Make Prayer Your Number One Priority Until The Prayer Is Answered. Daniel 9:3 "So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes."
